Over 20 years ago Mario and Suzanne Babarcy purchased about 300 acres of land in one of the poorest regions of Guatemala, in Peten, near Mexico. Their property is literally in the Guatemalan jungle, a region famous for its Mayan ruins, amazing rivers, lakes and tropical rain forest. In 1998 they founded a US-based Christian organization called Hearts in Action. Their goal was to give the gift of education to the children in the local communities.
